The KBA Rapida RA 162-6+L (2001) is a robust large-format sheetfed offset press designed for high-volume commercial and packaging printing applications. The press is equipped with the Colortronic console for remote adjustment of ink fountains and register control, enabling accurate ink management and consistent color results. Integrated quality monitoring through the LITHEC Litho-Flash system ensures precise control of printing parameters during production.

Automation features include automatic presetting of sheet format, automatic ink regulation from the control console, and FAPC automatic plate changing. These features significantly reduce makeready time and improve operational efficiency.

The machine incorporates the Varidamp alcohol dampening system combined with Baldwin refrigeration and Automix control, ensuring stable ink-water balance. Automatic washing systems for blankets, rollers, and impression cylinders further enhance productivity and maintain printing consistency.

The inline coating unit is equipped with a TRESU chambered doctor blade system, allowing high-quality varnishing applications. The extended delivery system with three modules (ALV3) provides additional drying and sheet handling capacity, supported by ELTOSCH Drytronic IR and hot air combination dryers.

Additional production features include electronic double sheet detection, antistatic and ionizing systems, chromed cylinders for durability, and centralized air pump control. The machine is elevated by 400 mm to optimize sheet handling and maintenance access.

The press was overhauled in 2021 with new Bottcher rollers, ensuring stable operation and reliable print quality. The machine remains in good condition and is available for inspection and test printing.
